Dashboard

Getting started

The dashboard is the page that will be displayed when you log into your partner UI. If you are on a different page in the UI and you want to go back to the dashboard, all you need to do is click on 'dashboard' in the navigation menu.

The dashboard will look more or less like this:

At the top of the page, you will find a section the platform owner can use to welcome you to the platform or inform you on important changes. Not all platform users use this section, so you might find it empty.

The bulk of the dashboard is occupied by a couple of widgets, which are discussed in more detail below.  Further below, you will find three widgets: a commission widget, a contact widget right next to it  and a performance widget below.

Commission widget

The first widget gives you an overview of the commission granted to you for generating traffic and conversions for the advertisers on the platform. In the commission widget, you will find three different figures:

  • The first figure displays your open commission. Please be aware that you did not earn this commission yet. The commission is related to orders that might still be canceled by the client. The figure is updated on a daily basis, so commission made on the day might not be included in the figure yet.

  • The second figure displays your confirmed commission. This is the commission amount related to orders that were accepted and paid. Therefore, you should receive this amount when the platform owner pays the partners on the platform. Usually, this is done at the beginning of every new month. The figure is updated on an hourly basis.

  • The third figure displays the commission amount included in the last payment entry that was created for you. The amount has the following status: If the amount is marked 'paid', the commission amount has been transferred to your bank account. Usually, you will also find a date indicating the date of the transfer. Please note you can directly go to your payment entries by clicking on 'payment entries' in the top right corner of the widget.

For more information on the payment process, please read this article.

Contact widget

The small widget next to the commission overview is a contact widget. If the advertiser set contact details for you as a partner they will be displayed here. You will find information like the support e-mail address or telephone number of the general advertiser program or a specifically assigned key account manager.

Performance widget

The performance widget allows you to get a quick overview on how your business is doing. At the bottom of the diagram, you can select whether you want to display views, clicks, conversions and/or commission figures. The colors of the buttons correspond with the lines you will see in the diagram. Right above the diagram, you can select whether you want to display your business you've made during the last 24 hours, yesterday, the last seven days or the last thirty days. Note you can also compare these periods with the period before it, i.e. the last seven days with the seven days before, the last thirty days with the last thirty days before.

In the right lower corner of the widget, you will find a few important rates:

  • The click through rate (CTR), i.e. the percentage of views that resulted in clicks.

  • The conversion rate (CR), i.e. the percentage of clicks that resulted in conversions.

  • The earnings per thousand views (eCPM), i.e. the amount of commission you made for every thousand views you generated.

  • The earnings per click (eCPC), i.e. the amount of commission you made divided by the number of clicks you generated.

  • The earnings per action (eCPA), i.e. the amount of commission you made divided by the number of conversions you generated.

News widget

In some cases, you will also find a widget on your dashboard looking more or less like this:

This is a widget via which the people managing the platform and the advertisers can send out important news related to the platform. It can be used to announce the start of a new advertiser program, to inform you on a new campaign or point out the benefits of specific ad media. As you can see, the news is sorted by advertiser and country of promotion.

Please note the widget will only appear when the people managing the platform choose to use it.

Top brands widget

If the platform you are working with provides basket tracking and the advertisers are transmitting data on brands, you will also find a widget below looking more or less like this:

This widget is gives you an overview of the best performing brands on the platform. The performance is filtered by advertiser and ad space: brands will perform differently for different advertisters and different advertising strategies.

What's next?

Let’s go back now to the top of the dashboard and have a look at your account settings.
